Pacific Rim

In the near future, the Earth's environment is gradually deteriorating. Mysterious alien colonizers are sending massive, cold-blooded, and highly toxic monsters to Earth through a 'gap' wormhole at the bottom of the ocean, systematically implementing their colonial destruction plan. In response, humanity has joined forces to create the 'Crimson Seagull Project,' producing mecha warriors that match the size of the monsters to fight back. However, as the monsters continue to evolve, the mecha warriors suffer a complete defeat. National leaders attempt to build a defensive 'Wall of Life' to block the invaders' advance, but soon face setbacks. In this critical moment, General Stacker Pentecost (played by Idris Elba), who is secretly continuing the 'Crimson Seagull Project,' retrieves the 'Dangerous Wanderer' pilot (played by Charlie Hunnam) who suffered a significant blow five years ago, and selects a new partner, Mako Mori (played by Rinko Kikuchi), through strict selection processes. The revived 'Wanderer' is about to face an even more powerful monster invader along with the remaining three mecha warriors, while looking for a chance to completely eliminate the enemy. Amidst the vast ocean, humanity's battle for defense is about to unfold...
