Winnie the Pooh is a bear who loves honey, created by British writer A. A. Milne. He is actually a toy bear belonging to a little boy named Christopher Robin, who imagines that he and the bear live in a place called the 'Hundred Acre Wood', which has many other animal friends around, like Rabbit, Piglet, Tigger, and so on; all these stories are imagined by Robin. Disney first launched 'Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree' in 1966, which was immediately well-received, and the subsequent 'Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day' won the Oscar for Best Animated Short that year. 'Winnie the Pooh and Tigger Too' was also nominated. Therefore, in 1977, Disney combined these three Pooh shorts into one film for theatrical release, making it Disney's 22nd classic animation - 'The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh'. The home video was originally released in three separate segments in the United States, and it wasn’t until 1996 that a complete movie version was officially released on video, which sold very well upon its release! Winnie the Pooh truly is Disney's most popular little bear!
