 Synopsis
In the 1980s, electronic software genius Kevin Flynn (played by Jeff Bridges) founded Encom, bringing humanity into a brand new era. However, shortly after the glorious era began, Kevin mysteriously disappeared. Following this, Kevin's young son Sam (played by Garrett Hedlund) inherited his father's position, while the actual work was handled by other staff members. Sam is intelligent and full of adventurous spirit, often causing trouble for the executives at Encom. One day, he discovers that a long-abandoned studio is transmitting a message from his father. Sam goes to investigate and ends up entering a fully digitized virtual world. The ruler of this world, Clu (also played by Jeff Bridges), bears the same appearance as his father but is ambitious and incredibly evil. Sam is forced to get involved in a conspiracy-laden electronic battle for supremacy... This film won the Best Original Score at the 2010 Austin Film Critics Association Awards.
