 Synopsis
The film is based on a true story, set in the Republican era of Fujian's Jinjiang Wudian City. The heir of Zhuangjia ceramics, Zhuang Jia Shu, develops a deep and unforgettable love with a young girl, Wu Cai Feng, who sings 'Gao Jia Xi'. However, fate separates them across distant shores. Many years later, an elderly Zhuang Jia Shu returns to Jinjiang Wudian City from Malaysia with his apprentice, Yan Yongqing, to embark on a journey to trace his roots, filled with both tears and laughter, and complicated family ties, love, and friendship. Wu Cai Feng remains steadfast in her love, while Zhuang Jia Shu has married someone else; what kind of love entanglement will Wu Cai Feng's granddaughter, Chen Nan, have with Yan Yongqing? What will become of Gao Feng, who silently protects Chen Nan? Will Wu Cai Feng and Zhuang Jia Shu ultimately end up together? This is a century-long love story and a contemporary transnational romance; where will these two love stories lead?
