The new film "Red Jade" directed by Japanese director Takahashi Tomonori and starring Eiji Okuda has officially been selected for the "World Cinema Spotlight" section of the 39th Montreal International Film Festival, which will be held in Canada from August 27 to September 7, 2015. Director Takahashi and Okuda are of the same generation, and the film depicts the real issues of middle-aged men faced with "aging" and "sex", telling the story of their efforts to pursue a more perfect life. Okuda plays the protagonist Shuuji Tokita, who holds dual roles as a university teacher and a film director. In addition to Okuda, a new generation of actors studying at the Kyoto University of Art and Design, as well as powerful stars such as Yu Emmoto and Keiko Takahashi, will also be featured.
