Matt is a partner at a European investment fund. Early in the morning, he received a call from another partner at the company, Anders, to deal with recent troubles regarding financial debts. Matt's wife, Heather, hopes he can accompany her to handle some matters. Their youngest daughter, Emily, is having breakfast, while their eldest son, Zack, is thinking about how to skip class with his girlfriend. Soon, Matt decides to drive the two kids to school. On the way, Matt receives a call from someone claiming there is a bomb in the car, and if he does not complete the tasks as instructed, he will detonate the bomb. Matt naturally assumes it’s a prank and hangs up. When the phone rings again, the caller reveals all of Matt's personal information and demands that he transfer money to a specified account. It is then that Matt begins to take this sudden call seriously. He contacts his colleague, Silvan, and realizes that he and his wife also received a threatening call in their car. Soon, Matt witnesses Silvan being blown up right in front of him. Matt is enraged and vows to protect his children and resist to the end.
