The story takes place during the late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China. Xu Dashuai (played by Xu Jinjian) finds five magical bowls in an ancient tomb, along with a golden Buddha that suppresses them. At first, the five demons do not dare to act recklessly due to the Buddha's suppression. However, the steward becomes greedy and steals the Buddha, allowing the five demons to regain their freedom and prepare to wreak havoc. Xu Dashuai has four wives, and the five demons take possession of him, planting their seeds in the four women. The chef Chuliu (played by Zhang Jincheng) and his girlfriend Xiaoyu (played by Wu Chunjun) also fall victim. Subsequently, the five demons cruelly kill the now useless Xu Dashuai. Exorcist Qinghai (played by Huang Qiusheng) learns of these events and teams up with Chuliu, vowing to subdue the five demons. After several thrilling battles, Qinghai is gravely wounded and on the brink of death.
