The robust and stern Ray Breslin (played by Sylvester Stallone) successfully escapes from a highly guarded prison after careful planning. He belongs to the independent BC Security Company, which is tasked by the Federal Bureau of Prisons to test the security of prisons across the country, uncovering vulnerabilities in order to ensure that no inmates can escape. Over the past eight years, Ray has successfully conquered 14 prisons. This time, the CIA has commissioned Ray, who is preparing for retirement, to enter a mysterious international detention center to verify the security of a facility holding extremely dangerous terrorists. However, something seems to have gone wrong with this operation as Ray loses contact with his team, and the cold and ruthless warden Hobbs (played by Jim Caviezel) completely ignores his evacuation request, while the brutal guards (played by Vinnie Jones) are eager to take lives. Alone and unsupported, Ray can only seek a glimmer of hope for escape with the help of fellow inmate Emil (played by Arnold Schwarzenegger)...
