On November 23, 1942, 20,000 Japanese troops "swept away" the anti-Japanese base area in Jiaodong, China, and thousands of people were besieged in the mountains. The soldiers of the 7th Company and 6th Squad of the 13th Regiment of the 5th Brigade of the Eighth Route Army unexpectedly learned that the people would be in danger of being killed by the Japanese army on a large scale when they passed through Mashishan after performing their mission. So, they resolutely decided to stay and rescue the villagers. Under the command and leadership of squad leader Wang Dianyuan, 10 soldiers with different personalities broke through the enemy's fire net three times and escorted out more than 1,000 people. Seven warriors were killed, three were out of bullets, and the enemy rushed up, pulling and supporting each other, singing war songs in front of the enemy, and the bullets hit them, but they still stood tall and defied the enemy.
This film is adapted from the Breakout Battle of Ma Shishan in November 1942.
