The story takes place in Mumbai's Mahatma Gandhi National Park, where a group of animals live happily in the forest until one day, human logging machines approach their home, which is essential for their survival. The young leopard Yuwei (voiced by Tara Strong) is particularly affected as her father was killed by a hunter's bullet. In her grief, Yuwei calls upon the animals in the forest to strategize for their future. Young monkey Bajang (voiced by Vanessa Williams) proposes to officially declare war on humans, but big bear Baga (voiced by Brad Garrett) disagrees with Bajang's viewpoint, hoping to find a peaceful resolution to the problem. After discussions, the animals decide to protest at the National Assembly in Delhi, only to discover that none of them can speak the human language, except for the parrot Alex (voiced by Tom Kenny), who is indifferent to fame and just wants to live peacefully.
