Synopsis

Li Zhichao (played by Chow Yun-fat) is calm and composed, a person whom one can trust. Zhou Qiang (played by Tien Feng) is always action-oriented and ruthless towards criminals. However, their completely opposite personalities have not prevented them from becoming trustworthy friends for many years. It was Zhou Qiang's cleverness and capability that led to the arrest of the drug lord Yao Da (played by Hsu Shao-chang). Now, as Yao Da is about to be released from prison, Zhou Qiang's partner has mysteriously died, making it hard not to suspect a connection between these two events.Under Yao Da's careful planning, the grief-stricken Zhou Qiang is framed and faces disciplinary action from the police department. Not only that, but his life is also constantly threatened by cold-blooded assassins sent by Yao Da.
