 Synopsis
Elizabeth (Sophie Marceau) has a clandestine deal with British nobleman Charlie (Stephen Dillane) — she gives him three nights to conceive a child, after which she will quietly leave. Charlie gives Elizabeth a sum of money to pay off her father's debts. According to the agreement, Elizabeth gives birth to a daughter named Louisa. But for seven years the flame in her heart does not extinguish — she misses her daughter, and every birthday of her daughter, she writes her feelings in a sketchbook. At the same time, she cannot forget the ambiguous feelings she had with Charlie back then. She arrives at Charlie's home, wanting to be Louisa's governess. Charlie, in panic, wants her to leave, but ultimately only agrees to let her teach his mischievous daughter for a month. Louisa slowly becomes well-mannered under her guidance, and Elizabeth rekindles her old feelings with Charlie.
