 Synopsis
The female director Cheryl (played by Sylvia Chang) discusses with the screenwriter about preparing to shoot a love story about first love. She decides to set the story in 1977, when the female protagonist Xiaorou (played by Gigi Leung) is only 17 years old. At a dance, she meets the male protagonist Haojun (played by Takeshi Kaneshiro), and they fall in love at first sight. Soon, they are deeply in love. Xiaorou has a good friend named Chen Li (played by Karen Mok). Besides confiding her feelings to her, Xiaorou uses her as a good excuse to escape her mother’s questions about staying out late. Xiaorou and Haojun's families quickly learn about their relationship, and both sets of parents demand that they break up. Heartbroken, Xiaorou confides in Chen Li, only to discover that Chen Li has always had feelings for her, leaving Xiaorou shocked. Years later, Xiaorou and Haojun reunite in Japan. Even though they each have partners now, it does not prevent them from re-entering each other's lives.
