Martial artist Chen Houde (played by Yuan Hua) travels to the United States to set up Baozhilin and often calls his disciple AJ (played by Jet Li) from China to help him out in America. However, AJ is worried about his residency issues in the U.S. and has not arrived yet. Chen once accepted an American disciple named Johnny (played by Jerry Tienber), but after Johnny completed his training, he challenged his master intending to make a name for himself and expand his own martial arts school. Chen was severely injured by Johnny, and Baozhilin was destroyed. Luckily, a girl named Anna happened to pass by and saved Chen. Almost simultaneously, AJ finally arrives in America to visit his master, but as soon as he exits the airport, he encounters a series of troubles. First, he inexplicably accepts three down-and-out Mexican boys as disciples, and then he has a misunderstanding with the bank's real estate manager, Mei (played by Guo Jinnen), who has sealed off Baozhilin. Due to the language barrier, AJ waits at Baozhilin to find out his master's whereabouts while Johnny is also searching for Chen Houde's location. The two disciples, one Chinese and one American, will meet at the crossroads of their differing pursuits of righteousness and profit...
