Synopsis

The Qiyifang Circus is touring Malaysia, and the members accidentally hear about treasures left behind by the Japanese during World War II. Under the leadership of knife-throwing master Zhang Dachu (played by Zou Zhaolong), the group of five kills treasure hunters. A small-time character, Sunny (played by Aaron Kwok), who aspires to become a knife-throwing expert, follows them and witnesses the entire murder process. He is forced to go down a hole with the others but inadvertently unlocks biochemical weapons left by the Japanese army. After unimaginable hardships, Sunny miraculously escapes but transforms into a strange appearance.At the same time, several robbery cases occur in Hong Kong. The assailants are unarmed and brutal, and they are the mutated Zhang Dachu and others infected by toxic gas. This series of events shocks all of Hong Kong, prompting the police to invite mainland experts Sun Hao (played by Wu Jing) and Cheng Xiuhua (played by Zhang Jingchu) to assist in the investigation.
