 Synopsis
This is a story set in a theater troupe in Hong Kong during the 1980s. The mischievous martial artist Ah Gui (played by Dong Wei) often dresses up as a ghost to scare people, and even the leading actress Xin Shaojia is frequently teased by him, leaving everyone both angry and helpless. This time, when Ah Gui tries to scare people again, he unexpectedly encounters a real ghost—a Chaozhou ghost. Terrified, Ah Gui loses control, but fortunately, the group's elder, Uncle Sheng (played by Lin Zhengying), has plenty of experience in dealing with such matters. He discovers that the Chaozhou ghost was dismembered during its lifetime, which is why its vengeful spirit remains unrested. To help the Chaozhou ghost find peace, Uncle Sheng and Ah Gui decide to locate its remains. However, they mistakenly dig up the remains of another evil ghost, leading to chaos in the troupe. Uncle Sheng decides that he and Ah Gui need to disguise themselves as celestial masters to scare away the evil ghost.
