 Synopsis
This is a story set in a theater troupe in Hong Kong during the 1980s. The mischievous martial artist Ah Gui (played by Dong Wei) often dresses up as a ghost to scare people, and even the leading actress Xin Shaojia often falls victim to his pranks, leaving everyone feeling both furious and helpless. When Ah Gui tries to scare people again, he unexpectedly encounters a real ghost - the Chaozhou ghost. Terrified, Ah Gui loses control, but luckily, the seasoned Shifu Sheng (played by Lam Ching-ying) from the troupe has experience in dealing with ghosts. He discovers that the Chaozhou ghost was dismembered during its lifetime, which is why its vengeful spirit lingers. To help the Chaozhou ghost find peace, Shifu Sheng and Ah Gui decide to search for the ghost's remains. However, they mistakenly unearth another evil ghost's remains, causing chaos in the theater troupe. Shifu Sheng then decides to team up with Ah Gui to disguise themselves as Taoist priests to drive away the evil ghost.
