 Synopsis
This is a typical martial arts comedy film from Hong Kong in the 1970s. Con artist Deng Guowen (played by Xu Guanwen) frequently goes in and out of prison. During his boring time in prison, he often performs his con tricks to amuse his fellow inmates. Inmate Liu Junjie (played by Xu Guanjie) is very impressed by Guowen's tricks and hopes to team up with him to make big money after getting out. Guowen does not agree, as con artists usually work alone.After both are released from prison, Junjie organizes a group of con artists to bet against Guowen. Guowen defeats them by bribing the dancer Peipei present at the scene. Junjie is even more impressed by Guowen and proposes their collaboration again. Unable to resist Jinjie's persistent persuasion, Guowen finally agrees. The two plan to take on the city's local bully, Brother Quan. To raise betting funds, they also participate in a prize game on television, where Guowen, using his clever mind, successfully wins the prize money. The day of the bet against Brother Quan arrives.
