 Synopsis
On the mainland, the young Zou Songxing (Stephen Chow) comes to Hong Kong to seek refuge with his uncle San Shu (Ng Man-tat). After San Shu, who has a gambling addiction, discovers that Zou Songxing has special abilities, he believes he has found the shortcut to wealth and fortune. He begins to take Zou Songxing to major casinos and encourages him to regard the God of Gamblers as his idol, aiming to further develop his gambling skills and become the new Gambling Saint. Zou Songxing's rising fame catches the attention of Taiwanese gambling king Chen Song and Hong Kong gambling king Hung Guang (Chin Siu-ho). Both sides want Zou Songxing to represent them in the World Gambling King Competition. After Chen Song successfully brings Zou Songxing under his wing, Hung Guang sends the beautiful Qi Meng (Maggie Cheung) to enchant Zou Songxing, and at the crucial moment of the competition’s finals, makes Qi Meng disappear, hoping that Zou Songxing will lose focus and yield the gambling king throne.
