Chen Lina (played by Gigi Leung) works in Guangzhou and meets accountant Yu Xiaodong (played by Shao Bing). After they fall in love, Xiaodong proposes to Lina, and they plan to hold a wedding banquet in Hong Kong. Lina decides to quit her job and return to Hong Kong to make arrangements. Xiaodong's brother Yu Ridong (played by Chen Bolin) works as a ground manager for an airline company in Hong Kong and has his own place. To save money, Lina moves in with Ridong and sleeps in the guest room. However, as things go, Xiaodong's female secretary has been in love with him for eight years and suddenly confesses her feelings! Xiaodong is conflicted and, upon reflection, realizes he is not a good husband! Overwhelmed by guilt, he secretly regrets the marriage and proposes a divorce to Lina.
