Synopsis

Firefighter Yajian (played by Chung Chun Tao) rescued the memorial tablet of the late star Yaling (played by Cheng Yuling) from a huge fire. Yaling, appearing as a ghost, is determined to repay Yajian, but instead inadvertently leads to Yajian's dismissal from the fire department, leaving him unemployed. Yajian finds his brother Yayan (played by Wu Ma), who has proclaimed himself a recluse, and through a series of misunderstandings, Yayan attracts the ghost Yaohua (played by Li Yanshan), who unexpectedly falls in love with Yayan. In an accidental encounter, Yajian sees the ghostly Yaling and mistakenly thinks she is an ordinary woman, falling in love with her. Yaling, who also loves Yajian, conceals her true identity. Yaohua's romance is obstructed by Yaling, and in a fit of anger, she reveals to Yayan that Yaling is a female ghost. Upon discovering that her identity has been exposed, Yaling chooses to leave. However, it is only at this moment that Yajian realizes he can no longer be separated from Yaling.
