Agatha is a quirky little girl who constantly invents strange surveillance devices and prides herself on being a detective. After moving to a new community with her mother, she receives a case to investigate the theft at a store. Soon, Agatha targets a suspect: Vincent, who lives next door. She sneaks into Vincent's house to investigate but is caught by him. Her mother uses the excuse of fostering communication in the new neighborhood to have Vincent teach her how to roller skate.Vincent disappears for a while every afternoon, and through following him and inquiring, Agatha learns that Vincent used to have a good friend. She suspects that Vincent has kidnapped that little girl in an abandoned factory. Agatha wants to convince Vincent, but feeling misunderstood, he runs away from home amidst accusations from others. Her mother believes Agatha is lying and shuts down her detective agency. Still obsessed with her detective identity, Agatha sees Vincent sneaking home and quietly follows him, discovering that he goes to the store to steal some dog food. Vincent angrily runs away, while Agatha, holding the dog food, is mistaken for a thief.Agatha realizes everything; it turns out that the good friend 'little girl' is actually Vincent's dog. His brother is allergic to animals, so he had to give the dog away, but Vincent couldn't bear to let go and brought it back to the factory, stealing the dog food out of necessity. The sick dog bit Vincent, and when Agatha arrives at the factory and sees the feverish Vincent, she quickly calls for help, saving both Vincent and the dog.Vincent eventually recovers and gives the puppy to Agatha, who loves dogs, and Agatha's reputation as a little detective spreads.
