Mio's Recipe Book

A flood separated childhood playmates Mio and Yo江. Mio was taken in by the owner of a famous Osaka restaurant, Tenman Ichijoan, who provided her warmth and discovered her exceptional culinary talent. A fire devastated the restaurant and claimed the owner's life. Mio and the owner took on the challenge of reviving Tenman Ichijoan's reputation and moved to Edo. By chance, they were discovered by the owner of a restaurant named Tsuruya, who was reminded of his deceased daughter. After recognizing Mio's talent, he allowed her to help out at Tsuruya. However, Mio's initial dishes did not appeal to the customers; on the contrary, they angered them. This made her culinary journey difficult. After facing several setbacks and receiving guidance and help from the samurai Komatsubara and Dr. Nagata, Mio realized the differences between Osaka and Edo cuisine and made changes. Her improved dishes received recognition, but were soon imitated by other restaurants. Consequently, Mio began to ponder what her own unique flavor could be. The success of Tsuruya made established restaurants envious, and they secretly aimed to sabotage it; on the other hand, childhood companion Yo江 was also in Edo, using her own strength to protect Mio...
