The story describes a group of tough but kind-hearted police officers who relentlessly use various methods to catch criminals. They work in the areas of the city with the worst security environment, facing all kinds of serious cases: drug manufacturing, arson, neo-Nazi incidents, and murder cases. These are just part of their daily work. A particularly bothersome serial killer is wreaking havoc in the city, and detective chief Vivienne Deering (Joanna Scanlan) and her team realize they are up against a formidable opponent. With the help of her capable assistant Detective Dinah Kowlaska (Elanine Cassidy) and Investigation Officer Joy Freers (Alexandra Roach), Vivienne vows to crack the case. Vivienne's behavior is so strange that everyone thinks she is mentally unstable. Dinah has an impulsive personality. Joy Freers was recently promoted and serves as Dinah's assistant.
