Alice (played by Milla Jovovich) is cloned in a Umbrella Corporation laboratory and becomes a research specimen for Dr. Isaac (played by Iain Glen). Because the DNA in her body can combat the T-virus, the doctor uses it to enhance the lethality of zombies. Alice receives a distress signal from humanity but falls into a trap. After several battles, she manages to save herself. Relieved, she strongly feels the call of the powerful forces within her while asleep, clearly indicating that the Umbrella laboratory has tampered with her. Moreover, Dr. Isaac has injected zombies with human blood, activating their human minds. The zombies become stronger and completely uncontrollable, ruthlessly killing laboratory assistants trained to deal with Alice. Three years later, Earth has become a wasteland. Survivors in Nevada form an alliance, and Alice is among them. However, she dares not reveal her identity because the laboratory granted her superpowers while also forcing her to act as a spy.
