Compared to "Atlas Shrugged: Part One," this film not only invited Duncan Scott as the screenwriter but also underwent a complete cast change, telling the story of a strong woman, Dagny Taggart. In the family-owned Taggart Railroad Company, the current president is the family’s eldest son, James Taggart, and the vice president is Dagny Taggart. The siblings have completely different ideas and methods to save the company, which is facing a dire operational situation. One merely chants vague investments in the Mexican—Santa Sebastian branch without any detailed assessment, lacking any planning or execution proposals, often viewing matters with a sour grapes mentality that resents others’ successes; the other, determined to save the Taggart Railroad Company, proclaims, "I’m like a starving person looking for anyone who can do the job right!" Dagny works tirelessly alongside Eddie Willers, collaborating with Hank Rearden from Rearden Steel to successfully complete the Rio Norte railroad branch using a new alloy invented by Rearden for the tracks. However, this success marks an unfortunate beginning. The world economy is further deteriorating, with unemployment reaching 24%, and gas prices hitting $42 per gallon. It is at this moment that the clever investor, an artist and businessman, Dagny Taggart, discovers a new way to make money. Dagny is the COO of the Taggart business empire and the Chairman of the Board. In a now-abandoned factory that was once glorious, she finds a device that seems capable of changing the world and solving the energy crisis—a type of engine. However, this remarkable equipment is not produced on a large scale, and no living person can explain the reasons behind it. To make matters worse, there are people secretly monitoring Dagny’s every move regarding this engine project...
