Greece in 1974 - during the brutal military dictatorship, an innocent travel agency manager (played by Hugo Tognazzi) is accused of participating in an underground resistance movement. Two secret agents (played by Michel Piccoli and Mario Adorf) are escorting this innocent victim to Athens. On the way, their vehicle breaks down, and the three are stranded in a remote village. At this point, various forces are caught in a chaotic struggle, and a cat-and-mouse psychological game of deception begins...
