Chandler and Miles attended Buchan’s new book launch on the Whitechapel murder, and they were bewildered by the mysterious remarks of a quirky old woman, Louise Iver.Meanwhile, the elderly homeless man Alexander Zukanov was lured into a house with strange marks on the wall, where he was crushed to death.Before he died, he changed the name of the murderer to Dorothy Cade.Myers and Chandler came to Zukanov's hotel and learned that the other residents were afraid of him and regarded him as a wizard.Buchan confirmed Zukanov was a Bulgarian agent, while MI6's Stella Knight accused him of interrogating former British spy Chrispin Winfield.Winfield was released after being questioned, but he told police that Zukanov's death was a 16th-century punishment for witches.Meanwhile, Dorothy Cade, who lives with his sister Cecilia, was also murdered and burned to the stake like a medieval witch.
