Angela (played by Yip Chian-wen) travels from Canada to Hong Kong to conduct field research for her thesis on 'Chinese Superstitions.' Upon arriving at the airport, she encounters the lecherous police officer Chow Fat (played by Chow Yun-fat), who fortunately does not pursue her further. To find a cheap place to stay, Angela meets the smooth-talking car dealer Hansom Wong (played by Wong Baoming). Hansom's intentions are even bolder, as he continues to pursue Angela under the pretext of helping her understand superstitious culture after assisting her in settling down.The room Angela rents is cheap, but it is actually a haunted house where a singer committed suicide due to a love triangle, leaving her vengeful spirit lingering in the room. Hansom experiences trouble with the ghost in the haunted house, and Chow Fat, concerned for Angela, gets embroiled in the situation. Both try to persuade Angela to move out, but she remains unfazed by the vengeful spirit and insists on staying in the haunted house, eventually becoming possessed by the ghost. To save Angela, the car dealer and the police officer enlist a master for help and confront the ghost in a series of battles...
