Adapted from the works of Eugene B. Debs and Harvey W. Eiler, it is a "realistic fantasy film" that arises from the Cold War situation of the U.S.-Soviet standoff. The plot tells the story of an American bomber fleet that departs to bomb Moscow due to mechanical failure, and, unable to recall the bombers, the American president orders the military to also destroy New York. The scenarios depicted in this film are highly plausible, which gives the audience a strong sense of shock. The director maintains the intense atmosphere from the ten-minute mark until the end, though the first ten minutes of the film are somewhat chaotic. The film's most distinctive feature is that it has no musical score at all.
