Melchior's bride Caitlin inadvertently witnesses an attack on a young man. This man has lost his memory, unaware of who he is or where he comes from. The only clue is a strange, incomplete letter found on him, warning him of serious danger. Melchior tries to understand the young man's amnesia and ends up discovering a hidden corpse. The incomplete letter leads Melchior to devise a plan to lure the murderer into a trap... but this time, danger is too close for comfort.
