Tokyo has always been a paradise for car modification enthusiasts, with its complex and narrow streets becoming the racetrack for their passion and speed. Due to the extreme turns in Tokyo's streets, competing in speed alone cannot secure victory. Thus, street racing in Tokyo has transformed into a competition of drifting skills. The protagonist, Sean (played by Lucas Black), is destined to be a loser; he has no friends at school, and the only place he can vent is through street racing. After being wanted by the police for an illegal race, he is forced to leave the United States to stay with his father, who is serving in the military in Tokyo. However, his father's strictness makes Sean feel out of place, and he continues to immerse himself in street racing. The high level of drifting skills in Tokyo captivates Sean, and he meets the 'Drift King', DK (played by Brian Tee). As he becomes entangled with the Japanese crime syndicate, Sean must race again to make up for his mistakes, with the stakes being his own life. This marks the beginning of a wild ride in Tokyo...
