Sato Akira is the legendary assassin known as 'The Fable'. Due to his busy work caused by orders from his boss, he leads a mundane life with his partner Yoko, resembling that of siblings. Sato Akira also works part-time at the design company 'Octopus', collaborating with the president Takeda and employee Misaki. Neither Takeda nor Misaki have any idea about Sato Akira's background as an assassin. Meanwhile, Tsurugi is a representative of a nonprofit organization. However, Tsurugi is cooperating with the professional assassin Suzuki to frame others for extortion. Their target is someone from the design company 'Octopus'.
