Hua Di (played by Andy Lau) is a small-time gangster who enjoys the thrill of street racing, riding his electric bike all day. He reluctantly gets involved in a robbery, and the police suspect him of being involved in the chase. He takes the wealthy girl Jojo (played by Wu Qianlian) hostage and tries to escape, and unexpectedly, despite their vastly different social statuses, they quickly fall in love with each other. Jojo defies her family's opposition and runs away with Hua Di. Later, Hua Di faces the pursuit of a gang leader, and the two go on the run.
