The little-known novelist Qu Zhouyue (played by Ha Jung-woo) is in the midst of creating his second novel but finds himself struggling with writer's block. Coincidentally, the president of his publishing company is going on a business trip to Berlin, and Qu Zhouyue happily agrees to accompany him as a translator. On the last day in Berlin, Qu Zhouyue attends a party for people in the film industry. However, facing the pretentious small talk and insincere enthusiasm, he feels so exhausted that he decides to step outside for a smoke alone. At that moment, he encounters the muse of his life. A woman named Hee-jin (played by Kong Hyo-jin) silently approaches him and begins to smoke next to him.
