This work tells the story of the Tengu brothers and their friends living a slow-paced life. One day, a boy named On, who grew up in New York, learns that he is a descendant of the Tengu. Due to the customs of the Tengu, he decides at the age of 14 to live a secluded life with his brother, Honsui Igan, who is living in Japan. Although he is a Tengu, he does not possess any special powers, and his brother's interests are solely focused on daily food and simple living. One day, On learns that Honsui has wings on his back, which is also rare for a descendant of the Tengu. Additionally, when On's dog Mugi starts talking to him, he realizes that he has the special ability to communicate with animals.
