Former federal prosecutor Ted Black from New York has undergone a transformation and found a new lease on life, representing the most powerful clients in Los Angeles. However, his law firm is facing a crisis, and in order to survive, Ted is forced to accept a role he has despised throughout his entire career. Surrounding him are a group of distinguished individuals, and their loyalty to Ted and to each other is being tested, as they inevitably blur the lines between work and personal life. Amidst all this, events from years ago begin to unravel, causing Ted to drift away from everything and everyone he once loved.
