"Jumanji" is a board game similar to Monopoly, but unlike Monopoly, the pieces in "Jumanji" move automatically. When you land on a square, the description of that square will appear in front of you, and once the game starts, it cannot end until the game is over, at which point everything returns to normal! 12-year-old Alan (played by Robin Williams) and his friend Sarah (played by Bonnie Hunt) are just beginning to play "Jumanji" when they are scared out of their wits by bats flying out from the board, leading them into the magical world of "Jumanji". They are unable to continue playing and become trapped in another world. 26 years later, two new guests, Judy (played by Kirsten Dunst) and Peter (played by Bradley Pierce), move into the house where Alan once lived. Guided by the sound of the drums from "Jumanji", they discover the unfinished game that Alan left behind. After becoming familiar with the rules, they continue the game that Alan never completed...
