This drama is adapted from a manga of the same name and tells the story of Akiyama Sei (played by Miyasaka Kaito) and Hoshi Kazuha (played by Aoi Wakana), who have been childhood friends and as close as family for 26 years. Sei has secretly been in love with Kazuha since they were young but hides his feelings to maintain the status quo; Kazuha, having witnessed Sei break up with his girlfriend in high school, fears that their relationship might deteriorate and chooses to seal away her feelings for Sei, deciding to remain friends for life. However, one night at the age of 26, after getting drunk, they spend an intimate night together. Sei confesses his long-held love for Kazuha, but she is confused and wavering due to her insistence on being just childhood friends. Sei hopes to take their relationship to the next level, while Kazuha tries her best to avoid this, leading both of them into a complicated emotional entanglement.
