In the lunar month of July, the Ghost Festival approaches. The streets and alleys are filled with a chilling wind, ghostly figures emerge, creating a desolate and bleak scene. In a dark alley, Zonghua (played by Zhang Jiahui), who has failed in business on the mainland, walks in. He was cheated by friends and lost everything, facing the painful changes of life. Fortunately, his elderly father, Xiaotian (played by Lin Wei), accepted him back. Xiaotian, the head of a divine kung fu theater troupe, is currently organizing the members for their annual performance for the spirits. Just before the show begins, Xiaotian suddenly falls ill, and Zonghua, with no experience, is thrust into the role of substitute leader. He fumbles around and struggles to win the trust of the troupe, but thanks to the beautiful actress Xiaoyan (played by Liu Xinyou), who lends a helping hand, they seem to develop a bond. However, as the performance date approaches, strange and horrifying events multiply.
