Tian Feng (played by Li Li Qun), a professor at the drama performance academy, has recently been troubled by a matter. His life and family are enviable; his wife Liu Qing (played by Gu Yong Fei) is the deputy factory director of a textile factory, his daughter Tian Yi Wen (played by Yang Kun) is married with children, and his younger son Tian Si Wen (played by Bao Jian Feng) is a planner at a large advertising company. His mother (played by Yu Min Zhen) also takes care of the household affairs at home.
