Carly (played by Sharon Stone), who has just gone through a failed relationship, decides to change her living environment and start anew, so she moves into the 'Fragment' building. Sure enough, it doesn't take long before Carly meets two charming men, Jack (played by Tom Berenger) and Zeke (played by William Baldwin). Through these two men, Carly discovers a shocking secret: the former tenant of her apartment committed suicide, and a neighbor who knew about this was later murdered in the building. After getting involved with Zeke more deeply, Carly finds out that he is actually the owner of the apartment, and that every corner of the apartment is filled with cameras set up by Zeke to satisfy his voyeuristic tendencies. For a moment, the suspicion of being the murderer of the two deceased falls on Zeke, but whether this is all an illusion or reality, Carly cannot determine.
