In Hong Kong during the 1960s and 70s, police corruption and triad dominance marked the glamorous days of Chen Hua (played by Lau Ching-wan), alongside La Ba (played by Lam Ka-tung), Mao Zi (played by Zhang Jin), and a group of brothers. Chen Hua was regarded as the leader of the "Thirteen Tigers of Tsz Wan Shan," exuding confidence; he also met his lifelong love, Ke Ruo (played by Jiang Yi Yan), and spent the sweetest moments of his life with her. Unfortunately, good times don't last; Chen Hua is hunted down by a gang for privately dealing drugs. Fortunately, with the help of his rival-turned-friend, drug enforcement team leader Ha Lei (played by Louis Koo), he escapes with his life, but ultimately can't escape the law. After being released from prison, the death of his father and the disappearance of his girlfriend Ke Ruo leave Chen Hua filled with guilt, leading him to realize his past mistakes and vow to turn his life around. He actively participates in youth drug rehabilitation work and earns the honor of one of the Ten Outstanding Young Persons; he also brings La Ba and Mao Zi back to the right path and often intervenes in triad disputes, earning respect from both sides of the law. After attending a drug rehabilitation seminar in Japan, Chen Hua unexpectedly reunites with Ke Ruo on the street. He is eager to rekindle their relationship, but can he easily dismantle the emotional bombs in his life?
