This film is divided into five stories: "The Palm Sacrifice for Souls" is about a mother who sends her son to a remote temple to become an ascetic in order to evade legal responsibility. The boy follows his masters to a mountain village, where the master tells him about local customs of using palm leaves to worship hungry ghosts. At first, the boy is skeptical but eventually finds out that the master was right; "The Roommate Ghost Patient" tells the story of a young man who, after a car accident and a broken bone, is placed in a multi-bed ward to recuperate. However, there are only two people in the ward, himself and an elderly man in a vegetative state. As night falls, the old man unexpectedly rises and attacks the young man; "The Fugitive Backpacker" features a young couple from Japan who arrives in Thailand and hitches a ride on a closed truck. Midway through their journey, they hear a series of knocking sounds from the back of the truck, and nightmares begin to unfold; "The Haunted Second-Hand Car" follows a female boss of a second-hand car dealership who often refurbishes accident cars to sell them for profit. One night, her son Xiao De goes missing while playing at the car lot, and a series of eerie and terrifying events occur; "The Terrified Film Set" features a film crew shooting "Conjoined Spirits 2" when the actress playing the female ghost, Xiao Gen Mei, suddenly collapses on set. The staff hurriedly rush her to the hospital. Just as the crew worries about their schedule, Xiao Gen Mei returns to the set.
