July (played by Ma Sichun) and Ansheng (played by Zhou Dongyu) first met when they were thirteen. One is a free-spirited and headstrong 'wild child,' while the other is a pure, gentle, and rule-abiding 'good girl.' From that year on, July and Ansheng were almost inseparable; she was her light, and she was her shadow. Until one day, a boy named Su Jiaming (played by Li Chengbin) appeared by July's side, and she fell in love. Ansheng decided to go to Beijing to make a living, and before parting, July unexpectedly discovered that the jade pendant Su Jiaming kept close to him was actually found in Ansheng's collar. Ansheng left, and July's romance with Su Jiaming continued. They got accepted into the same university and agreed to get married as soon as they graduated.
