The Return of the Iron Hero

Ten years ago, geological expert Li Zilan neglected her family due to work, leading her husband Gu Xingzhi to leave with their son Gu Yao. Unexpectedly, an accident occurred while they were driving, resulting in her husband’s death, and their son was rescued by a giant mountain gorilla in the wilderness. Ten years later, Li Zilan came to the wild jungle for research work with her later husband Ma Hongqiang and their daughter Ma Ke as part of a geological exploration team. Ma Ke, while the adults weren’t paying attention, ran into the mountains and nearly encountered danger, but was saved by a wild-looking young boy. Upon returning to the camp, Ma Ke told Ma Hongqiang and Li Zilan what had happened in the mountains, prompting everyone to investigate, leading to the discovery of the giant mountain gorilla. Driven by profit, Ma Hongqiang planned to capture the gorilla, which caused a dispute with Li Zilan. With the help of the boy, the gorilla escaped. While entering a cave with the boy, Li Zilan discovered a family portrait painted by her son years ago and learned that the boy was her son Gu Yao. The mother and son recognized each other, and after some persuasion, Ma Hongqiang also gave up on capturing the gorilla. Just then, the leader of the research team, Bazel, rushed over with weapons intending to forcefully hunt the gorilla. A storm descended, causing a landslide in the wilderness, putting all the members of the research team camping below in great danger. While fleeing, Bazel was about to be crushed by a boulder when the injured gorilla chose to save him, which deeply moved everyone. Gu Yao finally returned home with his mother.
