A bank that has never been robbed, 30 million unmarked banknotes, sets off a series of thefts. A group of highly intelligent criminals led by Mareya (played by Pablo Schreiber), skilled in their craft and heavily armed, are obsessed with robbery. Despite their numerous crimes, they leave few loopholes, making it difficult for the police to catch them. After a heist on an armored truck, their accomplice Donnie (played by O'Shea Jackson) is identified by the tough detective Nick (played by Gerard Butler), who learns from him that the gang's next target is the Los Angeles Federal Reserve Bank, which has never been robbed, to steal 30 million old banknotes that are about to be destroyed! Thus, Nick sets up an elaborate trap to catch them all at once. However, the criminals are one step ahead; Mareya uses a diversionary tactic to draw the police's attention away. Nick misses the chance to capture them and can only pursue the chase, leading to a series of gunfights. Although they eventually intercept the thieves, the stolen money mysteriously disappears! With layers of deception in play, who is the real mastermind behind the huge sum of money?
