Walking through the bustling crowd on the street, Allen (played by Cole Hauser) cannot hide his disappointment and frustration. After working diligently for his boss for 9 years, he is still just a worthless small employee, and the fact that his wife has been unfaithful deeply wounds him. To relieve his depressed mood, Allen goes to a small bar, not realizing that this action will embroil him in a strange and dangerous situation.In the bar, Allen meets a strange man named Jonathan (played by Cuba Gooding Jr.), who claims to be a hitman, but Allen doesn’t take him seriously. Jonathan tells Allen that he can kill five people for him for free and asks Allen to make a list of targets. Thinking it's a prank, Allen provides the list, but to his shock, the people on the list actually start dying one by one overnight. To protect the remaining people on the list, Allen begins a battle of wits with the hitman.
