To develop new drugs, a hunter (played by William Dafoe) was commissioned by Red Leaf Pharmaceuticals to embark on a journey to capture the endangered species Tasmanian tiger, and stay in a family of three on the magnificent Tasmanian plains whose male owner was missing for half a year.
While searching and hunting, the hunter gradually fell in love with the hostess and two children, and witnessed the serious environmental crisis in the Tasmanian plains, uncovered the mystery of the male owner's disappearance, discovered the traces of the Tasmanian tiger, and inferred various interest relationships behind the scenes.
