When the heroes of Liangshan attacked Zeng Toudi, Chao Gai was accidentally shot in the cheek by a poisoned arrow from Shi Wengong and died. To avenge him, the strategist Wu Yong and the Black Whirlwind Li Feng secretly infiltrated Daming Prefecture, trying to persuade Lu Junyi (played by Danbo Tetsurou) to join Liangshan, aiming to 'use Lu to control Shi'. However, Lu Junyi, who was focused on martial arts training, was indecisive. Unexpectedly, the walls had ears; the situation was learned by the steward Li Gu, who had an affair with Lu Junyi's wife, and he reported it to the authorities.
